Winooski River Multigenerational Service Projects - September 12, 2021

Wow! We had an amazing morning of all ages, all abilities service project. Our SPUDS (adult volunteer group) and Lifespan Spiritual Exploration combined forces and it was so succesful!

One multigenerational group from the church joined a with Friends of the Winooski for their annual River Clean-up. Another two dozen or so from UCM and the wider community made art celebrating the river in the church yard!

We had new members meeting longtime members, elders and littles together, beautiful river songs with harmonies by Northern Lights (don't worry--sung distanced and with masks), living our mission through service, passerby's so happy to see activity in our yard! My cup is full!

Bagels and coffee got us started on the right note.  The river clean-up folks from UCM gathered with others in the wider community at 8:30am at City Hall.  Friends of the Winooski River gave a welcome along with instructions for breaking into various groups for different stretches of the river.
